We are proud to be a Sustainable Tourism Accredited business along with focusing on our emissions reduction with a Tourism Emissions Reduction plan in place to continue to improve our footprint.
In the vineyards and winery
Environmental stewardship has been fundamental to Holm Oak’s philosophy since our establishment. Our commitment to crafting exceptional wines led us to strategically select grape varieties and clones that thrive in our specific terroir and climatic conditions. While agricultural challenges vary across different regions, Tasmania presents unique difficulties for viticulture. Through careful varietal selection during our initial plantings, we’ve minimised reliance on aggressive chemical treatments in our vineyard management.
Tasmania’s reputation is rooted in its untouched natural beauty, featuring pristine waterways, a clean atmosphere, and a native wilderness. Holm Oak is dedicated to preserving our island’s standing as one of Australia’s most environmentally pure regions. This commitment to environmental protection contributes to the growing international acclaim that Tasmanian wines receive for their exceptional quality and character.
