2011 Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc

Winemaking Notes
Being a cooler year our Sauvignon Blanc is in the more grassy, citrusy style this year. 80% of the wine was cool fermented in stainless steel whilst the remaining 20% was naturally fermented in older oak and underwent partial MLF to add and extra degree of complexity and palate weight. Post fermentation the wine was lees stirred weekly for 3 months to enhance texture and mouth feel prior to being blended and bottled.

Tasting Notes
This cool climate Sauvignon Blanc is a fresh and aromatic wine. It shows powerful passionfruit and gooseberry aromas on the nose, whilst the palate is deliciously refreshing and crisp with the barrel fermented portion and partial MLF adding palate depth and complexity.
